Policy

I take your privacy seriously. This is what you can expect when visiting my website, TDH.se, and any sub-site that might be embedded within (and thus will link to this policy page).

Personal information

First of all: I don’t want your personal data. I don’t want to track you. I don’t care what you share, when or where you did it, nor do I follow what you buy, or track you in any other way.

The first exemption to this is when you sign up to my newsletter(s). This connects your email to the newsletter’s contact list, which is stored with the provider of choice (I currently use Buttondown and Mailchimp). They have their own privacy policies, but promise to do good, otherwise I wouldn’t use them.

The second exemption is if you buy something from me through a storefront I maintain (not to be confused with affiliate links, stated below). If I sell a digital or physical product of any kind, payment will be processed through a third party partner that I deem secure (I prefer Stripe and Paypal, but others might apply, and there might be a service in-between as well). I do not store any payment data, nor do I want to, in any case ever. I will however keep your order information on record, you’ll always get a copy of what I have when placing the order. Usually this is your name and email, possibly a physical address, as well as your IP number when placing the order, and a timestamp. This is never matched to anything other than other orders you might place, so that you can, for example, get an order history. It is never shared with any outside party, except for shipping purposes.

I don’t resell any personal data I have. Ever.

Cookies

At times, this site might put cookies (small text files) in your browser’s local storage, containing non-personal information. These cookies might be used in a number of ways, such as remembering a browser session (i.e. staying logged in) or avoiding to showing the same message twice.

I do not store nor track any personal information whatsoever.

I do not use social media tracking pixels and the like, although embedded content (such as Youtube videos or Twitter conversations) could contain such software beyond my control.

Analytics statement

This site does not use any embedded third-party analytics software to track its visitors.

Affiliate and commissions

I reserve the right to use affiliate links, which might earn me a flat fee or a commission on a total sale at a third party store. Clicking this link will tell the store where you come from, but I will not send any additional information. (You might, however, already have various tracking cookies and the like in your browser. There’s nothing I can do about that, I’m afraid.)

Affiliate and commission links are only used on products I would’ve mentioned – no matter what I say about them – anyway. I never publish content with the explicit purpose to earn affiliate or commission fees.

Links

As a general rule, I try not to talk about things I dislike. If I include a link to a product page or an online retailer, affiliate or not, it’s because I find it informational and of value for the reader.

I don’t accept paid links within my content, other than affiliate and commission links of my choosing.

Sponsorships

I rarely accept sponsorships.

Any sponsorships are stated clearly within context. I do not accept sponsorships of any kind that require me to withhold information of said sponsorship.

I do not accept sponsored posts of any kind.

Terms of Use

I supply this site as is. By perusing it, you understand that it might contain errors of any kind, and we might misinterpret one-another.

You agree to keep an open mind and do your best to understand my point of you. I promise to do my best to make that easy for you.

Other than that, here are my more formal Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
