Delicious gets to live on, for now

There’s hope for Delicious it seems. This blog post, the only thing left on the Delicious blog apparently, speaks of things as “no strategic fit” with Yahoo and stuff like that. No closure is planned for the service right now, that’s good. Yahoo wants to sell it, that can only be good for Delicious since the company seems to be in disarray and lack focus.

This, however, is just utterly stupid:

We can only imagine how upsetting the news coverage over the past 24 hours has been to many of you. Speaking for our team, we were very disappointed by the way that this appeared in the press. We’ll let you know more as things develop.

Right. So why didn’t you respond right away? Why did you close the Delicious blog, making it feature just the one post?

I feel bad for the Delicious team, they are obviously stuck in some corporate bullshit thing within Yahoo.
